Week 1 Blog

 Indonesia is a beautiful country located in Southeast Asia and Oceania. Indonesia consists of islands and one is connected right next to Papua New Guinea. The country is amazing for surfing and swimming.

Indonesia has quite a lot of natural hazards and disasters. They had over 10 volcano eruption from all three centuries.  The main difference between hazards disasters and catastrophe is that a natural hazard is a natural process and event that is a potential threat to human life and property. A disaster is a hazardous event that occurs over a limited time span within a defined area. A catastrophe is a massive disaster that requires significant expenditure of money and a long time for recovery to take place.
